It's a Monday morning in Detroit. Natalie and Joe pour champagne into coupes, dancing to 60's salsa in their Shinola Hotel room. They're in the city as a pre-wedding getaway, which - as it turns out - makes the perfect occasion for engagement photos.

Natalie changes into a white dress; a glimpse of what's to come. Before checkout, we head out for Madcap and wander down Woodward. It's infectious, their freedom and presence in the moment together. No sense of the clock or the day of the week, just the here & now. Soaked in & celebrated.

Because being alive is a special occasion.
